Well, I seem to be able to finish two to three dolls a month in spite of my damned day job. Imagine what I'll be able to do when I can quit being a graphic design whore…
I saw this little Vespa scooter on idcow.com. It was only 12 bucks, and it gave me an idea. So here she, is, miss Helmet Hair. She still needs a bunch of shopping bags on the back of the scooter, and her helmet under her right arm, but she's almost there. Hope to finish her this week.
Road King is finally finished. I spent 6 hours on Saturday painting those tats. I was going to make him a pair of sunglasses, but I worked too damn hard on those eyes to cover them up! He also got some chest hair and more scruff on his beard.
I still need to take "for real" shots of him for the website, but these will do for here.

WIP on the latest character: The Road King
Got the die-cast Harley half price from some mens gifts website (it was still 40 frigging bucks). Found the company's website, where several other Harleys can be ordered for around $75. But it's the only place I've ever found die-cast Harleys in 1:12 scale. Even the ones from the Mint are 1:10, and they're WAY more expensive–around $135 each.
Road King is the first of my Biker dolls. I don't count Nessie, she's a mess and her bike is a crappy plastic Yamaha with a broken tail light. Road King is the first real one, and he's coming along nicely. He needs more tats and some chest hair, and if I can swing it, a cool pair of shades. I did the Fimo gel transfer thing and he's got a nice "Live to Ride" eagle design on the back of his vest, but I haven't got photos yet. He's one that really needs to be viewed from all sides, so I think I'm going to haul off and order that rotating die-cast display for the show.
These are just desktop WIP shots, but taken with the new Sony Cyber-shot camera I got last week. NICE. I didn't realize what a turd my old one was till I got this little critter. The macro feature on it is unreal–I can get details out of it I never could with the old one even when it was new. Really shows off those new "glass" eyes I made. I hope to spend some time this weekend re-shooting some of my previous dolls before the show.

Finally got Larry finished. The photos aren't great–the old digital camera is crapping out. It was doing all sorts of LSD trip color things when I fired it up, and when I finally got it to stop, I had to practically shoot everything in the dark to keep it from blowing out the highlights.
Time to shop for a new one.
